Clutch cable replacment. HELP!!!

Hi I'm changing a clutch cable on a 2002 CR250 for the first time. It
seemed easy enough. Take the old one off and replace it with the new
and do a little adjustment. Well either it's more difficult than that
or I'm missing somthing during the installation. What I noticed during
the first ride was that when I pulled in the clutch and then shifted I

If the clutch (basket, plates, etc) were previously allowing the bike
to roll easily in gear with the clutch pulled... it really sounds like

knowing how to install a clutch cable correctly. So again today I will
play with the adjustement to see if I can get the adjustment correct.
Is there anyone out there that might know what I'm doing wrong? Any
help would be appreciated.
