heh. But seriously, both machines are new-ish, up to date OS. The
web-page just displays a blank area where the video should play. If I
right-click and select play, it says "opening media...locating
media...buffering...ready" in the status bar of the video area, and
then does nothing.

It is windows media video 9 and the sound is windows media audio 9 and
my computer is using windows media player 10 plug-in to play the file.
