ZX600-a1 (GPZ 600R) Fairing question

Just bought an unfinshed project 1986 zx600 A1

Just needs breaks sorting, front tire clutch and gear selector to get it
back on the road

However one thing it also needs is the fairing has no bolts holding it on.
Does anyone know the size of the fairing bolts. They look like M6 but i'm
not sure and its not mentioend in the Haynes.

If anyone knows thread and length i'd appreciate it greatly.
My logic is probably flawed, but if you get some calipers with the jaws
the other way round (i.e. spreading out rather than closing in) and
measure the diameter of the holes in the fairing, then you'll get your
answer. 6mm will be M6.
As for length, some sort of thin stick-like object which you can make
marks in will give you the right length when you poke it through where
the bolt should go.

Cheers
