Reg/Rec question.

Right, the poor old CBX is still not charging. The voltage drops while
the engine's running?

Reg/rec?
Consensus on CBXWorld is alternator brushes.

Looks simple, and cheap, enough.
£20 a set from Silvers. Already here.

Should be three bolts, and two screws to fit them.

Except.

You can't get the alternator cover off without removing the crash
bars.
Now I buy the popcorn.

Is see M&P do CBX reg/rec units for £60, and as I'm in there ordering
a skip full of bits[1] for the Wing, I wondered if it was worth
lobbing one into the basket.

Are they simple to fit?

[1] Plugs and air/oil filters, to go with the new cambelts and new
clutch centre plate[2] that are already in the garage.

[2] I'm now *convinced* this is the root of the problem. Mainly cos
everything else has been replaced. :)
