Me Down

Thanks to the driver of the S2000 who feels that right hand turns at
roundabouts should be made from the left hand approach lane [1]
I am pretty sure it is SOP to be aware that larger vehicles often need
to use the left-hand wide approach into a roundabout to be able to get
round.
Yeahbut.... s2000 ffs, hardly a juggerynut is it ?

Where you in the lh or rh lane ? Did he swerve left to knock you or turn
right to cut you off at the pass ?
I approached in the RH lane, indicating right. He cut me off.
Yep, I'd agree. Except I'd never considered a Honda S2000 to be a
'larger' vehicle.
For some reason I misread it as saying it was a bus [1]. I have no
excuse why other than maybe I had my non-reading glasses on at the
time.

[1] Cue for comments saying the S2000 *is* a bus compared to proper
sports cars.
Mate of mine has one. It certainly has the same turning circle :)
Bring back Triumph Heralds, I say.
There's a lot of it about - do they just not teach people how to handle
roundabouts in driving lessons?
Apparently it's an elective
Fuggit. Bad luck old chap.
Aye, ta

Damage to bike, so far
1) Clutch lever
2) Gear lever
3) Rad cap and spigot
4) FNS indicator
5) Dunno it's dark out there
Man that is bad. I do hope you have a mean streak in yo a mile wide.
Looks like it's all irrelevant.

Damage to me
gaf

1) Minor brusing. This Hein Gericke stuff rocks
THIS is the important bit. You're still able to tell us about it. In
the future it'll be an amusing story to tell the grandkids. GWS.

"When motorbikes were legal [1] *I* used to have one, yep, sure did!"

[1]Not long away?
Heh, good laugh

2) Trashed Uvex. Still I'm getting a new visor....
What happened to the car? I hope you left him a nice reminder of why
you shouldn't be an arse.

GWS, and best of luck with the claim.

[1] I know. I *nearly* missed him :(
The more i ride, the less I like drivers.

BTW, are you clumsy?
I'd like to think quite the reverse
Unlucky. Do be careful out there Bond.

It's definitely the time of year for it.
It is that.
But did you invent any new words while discussing his driving talents?
No, I couldn't really see the point. He kept saying 'I was indicating'
to which I replied, 'Could you move the bike off my foot'...
Sorry, but LOL.
Commiserations and GWS.

I guess this is one of those 50/50 faults or do you think you're stuffed
because you hit his (looks further down thread) rear quarter ?
Personally I think he's stuffed for cutting across my right of way [1],
but I could very well be wrong.
The more so that you implied he admitted it. Sue the bollox off him.
Words were carefully chosen, but his instant protestations will be a
matter of record

[1] His lane was marked into the A414, off the roundabout, so he had to
cross a lane divider to hit me. Apart from anything else.
Be sure to go back and get photos of the lane markings..
What he said. In spades.
