I think I'll keep my 200e though (sorry Tami).
The Enduro Engineering site says their seats, which are made for '04
and on KTM's, will also fit an '03 200e - anybody done that? Does it
fit the '03 well, e.g., no big gaps or anything?

Not sure how that could happen, the 04-> seats mount with a single,
center bolt, the subframe is different as is the one piece rear
plastic panel.
You may be reading something into the info that really isn't there.
Nice try though...
From the EE site:
"Item #: 75-100
Complete Soft Seat For All 04-06 KTM SX-M/XC-E/XC except 450/525MXC
Also fits 03 200/250/450SX Std Height"
Notice the SX designation. The SX models changed a year before the
EXCs did.
