Load Carrier

Hmm this is interesting
and Watsonian confirm availability of bracketry to connect up a SOBMW RS,
though said brackets are £220
Once set up removal/fitting should be 4 bolts and an electrical connector.
Useful for trips to Chimay and perhaps "colder" events.
No doubt the chassis can be used to mount something with a chair too.
I'm amused by the thought of a sort of Trailer Tent incorporating a truck
size battery switchable in/out of the bike electrics for domestics.

Towbar and caravan.

Hmm that may be going to far!
and of course

Maximum legal trailer width for an outfit is 1.5m IIRC. Both of these would

Ah so only suitable for Trikes.

be too wide.

Nah, what you do is mount the works of a trailer tent onto a sidecar
chassis.
It's been done, I saw one at the 1991 FIM rally. I think its owner was
Finnish. The tent opened out over the bike, so the bike was kept cosy
and dry at night. It was very wide - but he had managed to keep it just
narrow enough not to need a Police escort.
I probably took a photo of it, but the chances of me finding a photo
from that long ago are slim... and it would be a slide... and my slide
scanner broke about 6 months ago...

Is this completely barking? I may have lost perspective.
|
Of course it is. Do it.
We've just worked out that Laura could comfortably lie down in it.
|
Wonder if they do a Bandit12 fitting kit.
|
I'm sure they do.
|
Well I've emailed them to see
