OT: Airshows

Am thinking of going to an airshow this year. Not sure whether to go to
Farnborough or to Fairford. Anyone recommend the best one, or any others?
RIAT. Went there a few years ago, verr good display, especially the
commercial parcel courier 747 jet doing very silly things :@)

Going this year too.
Pity Mildenhall don't do them any more - the only one I went to was
impressive with US aircraft you rarely see, like B1s, strutting their
stuff.
Last time I was at Mildenhall was 83 or 84, the highlight being an
SR-71.
Blimey, that takes me back. I went around that time. The Blackbird
display was impressive but frustrating waiting between passes - not the
world's most manouverable aircraft. I have a probably incorrect
recollection of the thing flaming out and having to cut the display
short. Ring any bells?

They don't make 'em like that any more.
Well, not officially anyway.

Duxford does some nice airshows, though mostly older aircraft. If you
get bored with the flying displays then there's hours of wandering
round the IWM itself. I particularly like walking round the
restoration hangars.

There are aircraft in all stages of repair, some merely a load of
framework and spars stacked up.

"Can you guess what it is, yet?"
RIAT tickets- anyone else going?
Went to Fairford 4 or 5 yrs ago, twas brillic...
