Antonye at Brands

He came eighth in the first race. Dunno about the second.
|
Qualified 11th, 9th in Race 1, 8th in Race 2.
Best lap of 58.28s ... not bad for 63bhp!
|
Well done.

Thanks. It was a great couple of races and I
really found some form (although not speed!) in
race 2, but it's really frustrating when that
guy who is 25' in front just won't get any
closer.

Full details here:
Currently 8th in the championship on 35pts,
with joint 6th in front on 38pts.
I didn't quite get the gearing right; the new
gearbox (6spd vs 5psd) has thrown us a bit as
the final ratios are different, and we're still
playing catch up with what we should be running.
In hindsight I should have upped the rear more
but we're almost on the limit of the chain as
it is, so I'll need a new chain maybe.
Other than that it was a great day, maybe a bit
too hot for April if anything! Had a lovely slide
round Clark curve, ground down the exhaust at
Druids and locked the front wheel over the bump
into Paddock, so quite an exciting day.
Next outing may be to the dyno to play with our
new ECU remapping kit I bought last time I was
out in the States, but definitely at Mallory
on the 10th for a trackday to learn the track
(having never been there before) before the
race on Sunday 20th.
|
It'll take you 10 minutes :-)
Well, maybe not. It's a short track, with only 4 corners really, but
strangely does take a while to work up to speed.
|
Its new for this year and the only track I've not done
so far. I'm quite looking for to the "no pressure" [1]
trackday to just sit back and learn the track.
My r/h/s knee slider also needs bedding in...
[1] yeah right!

Three snaps at:
and 2 and 3

Think you need a faster shutter speed, I mean to say, the front tread
pattern is a tad blurry FFS.
