Scythes and safety.
First, having just sharpened one, dont't leave it propped up right

Second, when it topples down in a, well, scything sweep, don't try to
deflect it with a bare hand.

Third, fine cuts where a slab of skin have been lifted, bleed like
hell. Three such cuts are, of course, worse. A wrist slash, while it
might initially be the most painful, doesn't bleed that much.
