should I be ashamed?

In a thread over on UKGSer.com about damage to vehicles in car parks
someone has just posted this photo. It shows a note left under the wiper of
their damaged minibus.

I shouldn't be laughing but I am.
Both links require registration...
I would be ashamed, if I posted a link like that.
"You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this
page. blah blah blah."
ah, bollocks - it was posted in the RANT sub-forum which requires
authorisation. Most of the site is viewable by anyone
That's like an urban legend. I believe 90% of all notes left under wiper
blades say that nowadays.

Try this for the note:
That's a yes then?
The same note - almost word for word - was left on my neighbour's car
some 20 years ago.
It looks very much like a copy of one I put on a windscreen in a car
park 30 years ago. I got the idea from a bloke who did it ten years
before that as well.
When I was back in the UK, my neighbour had the same thing left on his
car. On the other side of the paper was the details of the cage that
had hit him, with a note to the effect "I thought that this person may
try to pull a fast one, so here is his registration plate and my
contact details to be a witness"
