lurching when closing/opening throttle?

I sometimes notice a lurching in the throttle when I open or close
it, especially in lower gears like 1 or 2nd. It feels like a sudden
jolt of torque or pull. Is this normal? Is it a result of my
technique or is it a chain or carb problem?
Could be:

- Loose chain

- Driveline slack - some bikes are just build like that (like Honda's
CBR600RR)

- Poorly mapped fuel injection

- Poor technique

It happens in lower gears because the gear ratio is lower (duh!) so the
bike is more sensitive to what the engine is doing. Whatever it is, you
should be able to fix it by being smoother with the throttle and using
the clutch more at lower speeds.
Could be too much chain slack. The owners manual will give you the allowable
rang of slack.
Is it fuel injected?
