Looking for a motor

Im looking for a motor/transmission/gearbox for a 1999-2001 Yamaha R6.
Preferably 2000.
Relatively low miles preferred and in good condition..

It's a real pity you're not looking for an engine for the R6's predecessor,
the Thundercat. I've got one with less than 20,000 miles on it sat here in
my garage after the rest of the bike was trashed.

Mind you, shipping costs may prove to be a hurdle:-)

Motor / engine... I'm really tired so I'm not even sure how to say (type)
this, but motors are plugged in and engines run on flamable fuel (at least
most of the time!)

This may be way too much to ask for.. but I figured id put the feelers
out.

I'll take a guess: Second gear broken?

yes and no. second gear broke many moons ago.. the bike has over 55k
miles on it.
Im looking for a new motor becuase I dont feel comfortable welding the
roughly 2 inch hole in the transmission case that happened about a year
ago when the bolt from the front sprocket got caught between the chain
antd the chain guard/ transmission case.

I need one motor for my r6. becuas ei have california carbs that are
jetted for my akrapovic system, id prefer to stick with that. If
someone has a 49 state motor they want to part with that meets the
criteria, i just need all the parts that make up the difference betwen
the california motor and the 49 state motor :)

You'd be amazed at what an experienced aluminum welder can do with a
case puncture like that. I'd go ahead and fix it if the motor has some
more miles left in it...
