Someone pushed my cycle over - Alarm feedback?
|
Bike was parked on driveway beside house. Next morning it was laying on its
high side and pretty messed up: light bar, shield, pags, bars, signal,
mirror, etc.
|
Park on the sidestand next to a wall with the high side facing
the wall. Park so that it'll be leaning on the wall before it falls
over.
I should add that my sidestand doesn't retract automatically,
so you'd have to lean it against the wall then retract the
sidestand in order to tip it over.

Sing a big 2 inch steel pipe into concrete next to the driveway and
chain the bike to it. Your really much better off if you can put the
bike INSIDE something like a shed or a garage. A number of years
ago my Kawasaki KZ650 was stolen right out of my driveway and I
never did get it back.

It may have been mischievious kids on a dare. Who knows?
I'm thinking of getting an alarm, maybe a Scorpio SR-i500 that has a two-way
remote that supposedly has a 1/2 mile range and comes with a proximity
alarm. Their ad doesn't say if it's a silent alarm or horn along with the
Anyone here have one? Any piece of miind with one?

I really hate the loud obnoxious ones. Makes me want to
go vandalize the vehicle myself. Best would be to find a
more sheltered and secure parking spot.
|
Too cold to sleep by the bike and I haven't ruled out a gun, but I got to
catch them first.
|
An alarm will certainly help keep your bike upright.
