Another ride report

Took my first "bigger" ride of the year that didn't involve going to work or
short run up a nearby canyon.

All the really big / good canyons are still closed due to the heavy snow
year. I did get a run through Brown's Canyon between Park City and Oakly.
I haven't driven that road in at least 15 years, it was closed to through
traffic all last year due to construction. It was very nice with fresh
undamaged asphalt.

After 120 miles my body was starting to tell me that the F4i is not the most
comfortable bike. I even set the suspension to a much softer setting and
that really minimized the effects of the expansion joints on the freeway.
At least my teeth weren't rattled sensless.

There were very few bikes out when I left, I guess the rain showers kept
people home. I only have 2 complaints about riding in the showers: first
there is no easy way to clean the helmet visor without stopping and secondly
See First Gear rain gloves. They have a nifty squeegee on the index
finger of the left glove. Just another one of those "why didn't I think
of that" inventions.
I thought Rain X would work pretty well.
I think it has a tendency to make the plastic kinda colorful. I'm all
for the acid effect and all, but let's leave it for after the ride.

Contact your lawmakers in support of immigration reform.

the remaining salt left over from the winter has made a mess of my bike.

And my chain has 14.5k miles, I just use Honda lube. I guess it is getting
near the end of life, I'd better keep an eye on it. Maybe that funny noise
I was complaining about isn't valves or cam chain tensioner, maybe it is the
chain?
Well easy way to figure that out.

If you hear the noise while moving but do not hear the noise wile
standing, it's the chain. Otherwise, it's the engine.
