Carb Kit for a Kawasaki 125
|
I've been tearing up the internet looking for a carb kit for this bike
(BS28 Mikuni) but have been unable to find one. Anyone know a website
that sells these things. Also, if you have any experiencing cleaning/
rebuilding these carbs, your two cents would be valuable.

bs28 is the one used in Royal enfield 500 cc LB check it

It would be nice if you would mention what year and model your "Kawasaki 125"
might be.
I have been cleaning and adjusting my own motorcycle carburetors for 40 years
and I have never needed a "carburetor kit" yet. The carbs just get dirty and
I clean them out.
Small motorcycles are not like cars, they don't get used for 200,000 miles
and get so worn out the carburetor needs rebuilding.
If you can see that some specific part is worn out or broken, you can always
buy that one part from a dealership or mail order that part and pay $10 for
special shipping and handling.
have explained how to clean and adjust CV carbs many times in this NG, so you
can web-search for "EPA anti-tamper plugs" and "transition ports" and find all
the information you would ever want.

Thx, found the kit. It's a 125 Eliminator (2002). It has been sitting
for quite some time (more than a year) and definitely needs a good
clean out as it won't start. I've just replaced the battery, the spark
plug, given it an oil change and now I need to clean that carb. When
it was ridden it was ridden hard so I'm going to go ahead and grab the
kit just in case. Thanks for the tutorial link (I'll need it I'm
sure). I'll be sure to look up your past posts as well.
