BOSM: Cars v Bikes?

Right,
How many 'Rufty-Tufty' Bikers are taking cars to the BOSM then?
Good. You can take my new tyres home.
If he doesn't, I probably could. Heading down the M5 on the way home, and I
may be taking the Probe with the Tardis-boot.
No problem.

Especially if it means that we've got to do 30 miles back to her folks
on Saturday night with them on her lap... All of a sudden the Merc
appeals :-)
Dunno about "rufty-tufty" ones, but I'll be in the c^H^H^H mobile skip.

I wouldn't consider bringing the 450 and the B12 won't be put on the road,
until the day my insurance docs arrive for it (no tax either- see?).

Handy thing about cars is being able to fire up the engine and turn on the
heater if it gets cold....
And a big lad like you ;o)

Weather looks a mixed bag, with most service concurring on for a sleety
Sunday, so the journey home might be a little less than enjoyable.
Good golly. I remember the old days of the first (Eddie arranged) EOSMs.
The only one to turn up in a car would be Bear (bad back, fear of red
mist etc).

How things change.
S'cuse me, but I've turned up for several *OSMs by bike.

I think I've taken the car a couple of times too, mind.
This will be the first of all those I've attended that I'll have turned
up at in a car and that's because my companion doesn't do pillions. She
prefers to ride up front but doesn't have a bike at the moment.
I haven't been for a while. It must have been the 1st or 2nd and you
were complaining about my noisy motorcycle.

Actually, I don't think you were at the 1st. That was where I first met
Yes I was. You're 0-2 ... go you!
I wish I understood that.

Champ and Colin Irvine, Molly and Melanie etc. If I remember rightly,
TOG and myself met up with AndyB on the way up too. Blimey, it's all
flooding back - I think Pawel rode up with us as well after we met up at
my house. I remember TOG getting all stressed out when we got a bit lost
on the way...
That was it. I swapped bikes with The Greasy Pole, who had an R6, and I
absolutely *hated* it.
Planning to take the bike, unless it's below 0C. The last ride out
that had snow at the side of the roads wasn't much fun.
I'll have to fit my high tech carb heating device to the Bandit[1].
Seems to work wonders it does.

[1] A bent up bit of thick cardboard to direct ening cooling air over
the carbs.
I'm planning on taking the car, as I'm hoping to have sold the bike later on
today...
Remind me again what the 'S' stand for in BOSM?
Soggy. As in "Being Overtly Soggy Meet".
Yes, ta
Some folk haven't got a car, all we've got is our rice burners ,as you
called them last year.
Them Rice Burner's are nice fun bikes.
500 or 350?
That's not what you meant at that time.
??
My memory fails me?
Happens regularly at my age ;o)
Me and LB on bikes as ever

I'm still planning to take the Barge, I just hope that my B8stard manager
doesn't throw a spanner in the gubbins by expecting me to work
tonight/tomorrow. I told him weeks ago that I would not be available this
weekend, but he insists I am!
If you've told him your not available, and it's not in your contract
that you are on call, why does he expect you to be working?

Just turn your phone off.
He reckons I should be available for special circumstances.
He also reckons, that he advised me ages ago that this job would be on this
weekend.

I don't GAF as he's leaving today and I don't know who his replacement is,
so, my phone will be in the offus maximus position on the dot 16:49 today
;o)

Unless he gets me first :o/
It's a get out clause in case he just decides not to come. Some
people just can't say "I didn't want to come after all" and need to
pre-make a reason.
I'm not going because I don't feel like it. Which is exactly the reason
I have never signed up for food, because I know I change my mind :-)
This is why you're a good person.
I used to be indecisive.
Now,
I'm not so sure ;o)

I do hope he understands that he's still paying for the food Mu is
providing even if he doesn't turn up.

We'll see. I don't do weekends!

Look forward to meeting some more of you chaps/chapesses.
I'll be biking.
Drinking
and sleeping in between other things
A bit cramped in a tent methinks, between other things?
These other things of which you speak?
You'll have to be there to find out........
This you of whom you speak?
