FXSTC 99 EVO carburetor question

I just got my first HD Softail 99 FXSTC with 6K miles. I changed the
air filter because it was dirty. Sometimes when I ride I feel a shock
in the carburetor or like is spitting. What do you think it is?
Carb mice.
It doesn't like you.
You're welcome.
The word shock has me lost, the word spitting makes me think you now have a
air leak that you created when putting the air cleaner assembly back
together. You may have air sucking from the back of the filter, use a bit of
oil to seal the rubber to the filter plate. In other words make sure you
have no air leaks that you may have created from replacing the filter.
Sounds like your sucking air and your mixture is lean now.
