OT: Recommendations for emailing groups without divulging emails to all?

Basically just looking to email a whole load of people that join a group on
a website, then email them all with a monthly newsletter, ummmmmmmmm monthly
:-)

However, importing all emails into one contact group will then show all the
emails to everyone at the same time. I'd rather be able to email the whole
group but not let them be able to see all the other emails IYSWIM?

Anyone got a recommendation?

bcc or "blind carbon copy"

With Turnpike (I don't know about other software) the mailing group is
translated into individual addresses before posting, so with bcc nobody
sees anyone else's address.

I just thought that this would only bcc the whole group from the original
person your emailing, though then everyone in the bcc would be able to see

If you are not convinced that will do what you want, create a small test
group and try BCC'ing that.

I would use a cgi script but the hosting is pretty basic on this site that
theyve asked me to do this to, and would necessitate upgrading :-(

Pegasus lets you do this natively

I suspect Mailman will as well.
