Carbon Fiber Helmet experiences... revisited

Back in September, I asked:
Apparently, no one in reeky was using either of these helmets at the
time. The AC-12 Carbon is now widely available, and I've read several
positive reviews. Yet, at 3 pounds 4.5 ounces, it is only four ounces
lighter than my current Shoei RF1000 full face helmet.

However, there is a new contender on the market. Not sold in the U.S.
(it is EC compliant but not DOT or Snell approved) the BMW
SportIntegral Carbon full face helmet weighs in at an AMAZING 2 pounds
1.5 ounces. That's lighter than ANY of the open-face helmets tested
by WebBikeWorld.

Its amazing weight is matched by an amazing price tag, as well: about
$1,500. U.S.

Still, saving about 1/3 of the weight of my Shoei sounds worth the
money.

I think I will try to find a way to acquire one of these bad mama-
jamas.
Think they got any in XXXXXL?

(probably not :/)

(and yes, I tried the Zeus XXXL, too tight, only the Vega Altura
XXXXXL has been comfortable)
I hope you are tall........
Whew. For a minute there I thought you might be insinuating that I
had a swelled head! (Anybody who has been on Reeky for any length
of time could tell you that that's simply not true!!! ;-)
Are you, by any chance, an elephant?
I started biking in 2005. I did some research and bought a THH 302 helmet
that was carbon fiber kevlar for around $89. It was DOT and Snell approved.
It was a 3/4 helmet. I have been very satisfied with the helmet however I
think THH has dropped this particular line. There are still some around on
the internet.
$109 to $145
"Helmets on this page are NOT DOT APPROVED, buyer assumes all
responsibility for suitability of application"

I don't think these helmets would be suitable for my application,
unfortunately. Otherwise, I couls save a BOATLOAD of moolah!
