Need some gear

Hi, just bought a Honda VTR 250. Now I need some gear. If _you_ had $1000
Because they pass the standards, we're not told by how much or how little,
and its up to the purchaser if they're prepared to accept the standard as
there only benchmark.
My point, which you continually seem to fail to grasp, is that in my
opinion, composite helmet shells appear to assist the liner in impact
absorption, polycarbonate helmets seem to, in my estimation, transmit the
majority of impact force through to the liner.
It is simply an opinion, backed only by experiance and observation .
You had a point?

There have been some limited studies which suggest that the effect you
mention is only of use on the first impact, in cases of multiple impacts
the ability of the poly helmets to deform and then rebound and then
again deform can be superior.

I geuss that suggest if you are going to run into a brick wall (or the
side of a car) wear a fibreglass helmet but if you are going to go
bouncing and rolling down the road wear a poly carbonate one...

In real life though we don't get to pick the type of accident :)

and needed a good jacket, gloves, and a helmet where would you shop. I live
in Camberwell. It's a bit of a broad question but it might help narrow
If you're prepared to wait a little you may score a jacket and gloves on
ebay for a song .Don't worry too much about helmet brands just get the
chepest, most comftable one that isn't plastic.
Boots- try any sturdy lace up boots, not runners, make sure they completely
cover your ankle
May get the lot for < 1K

things down from all the shops. I was just thinking about looking at the
couple of stores on Elizabeth St, but first I'd like to ask - maybe someone
has a favourite shop which has good value for money. Thanks.
Shane,
I can't help you with the gear (being in Brisbane) but there's a total
cockhead who posts here named "shane" so don't take it to heart if you get
a needlessly venomous reply sometimes.
Alternately; you could change your nickname to "not the cockhead Shane" or
something less likely to confuse.
