Sprocket Replacement question

I am looking to replace the sprockets on my 81 Kawasaki KZ-750-e

What is the better sprocket?
The round ones with teeth.

Hardened Steel?
Steel?
Either or I imagine?

or High Carbon Steel? Which one will last longest?
I've never worn one out. You plan on riding much?
Buy OEM's front and back from your local dealer unless it's a highly
modified motor.
Dunno. There aren't many steel sprocket manufacturers out there, though, if
I remember correctly from the last time I bought new sprockets. I've had
decent success with the AFAM brand, in terms of quality and availability.
For their steel rear sprockets, the only option you sometimes have is that
there may be a version that's been lightened, by removing some of the
material between the hub and the chain ring.
