From the dealer

Drinks. I recall that on the night of a big storm in December, several
people had rolled down their windows and taken pictures with their camera
phones. I had wondered at the time if any of those pictures would surface.
Turns out one did, it was sent to my dealer and he put it up on his site:

The low quality camera phone actually made the photo better in an artsy sort
|
Actually, I'm kind of amazed that pic came from a phone considering the lack
of light and moving objects vertically and horizontally.
Nice pic Tud!
|
Thanks, not that I took it. I can't say for sure it's from a camera
phone, but I saw a couple people with them on the way home who were trying
to take pictures of me, and I didn't see anyone with a regular camera, so I
can only assume that's what it was. It seems like a fairly low resolution,
so that also makes me think camera phone.
|
If the lighting was as dim as it seems, that would have to be a decent
camera phone! At first I figgered the photographer paced/panned you with the
camera, to avoid blur. But looking again the background is not blurry. Oh
yea, the photo appears to be resized, or is at least devoid of any metadata.

Great pic. You're a sick man. Now, use all that publicity to get the
performance issues attended to. Post back to the dealer's site that you

I was looking at an old one on E-Bay and it looks like we took a step
backwards, the air use to run through the transmission case, which should
have warmed it up enough to avoid carb icing:
Now it's just an airbox and hoses, nothing in there to keep the air warm.

hold up in that weather better than the Ural.

Take off you hoser!
Great movie.

|
Very cool, Tud. And the hard-to-see sidecar makes it even better, IMO.
|
|
Fantastic! It's a great picture and you're doing something incredibly
cool. Far better than getting your picture taken while hanging your
naked ass off Snarl's roof, for example. Not that anybody's done that
or anything.
Hope you've got a copy of that pic. It's going to be something to show
the kids-n-grandkids someday when they think you're just an old pharte.
|
I've copied it to my hard drive and printed off a copy to stick up here on
my tack board at work. I'm not sure if it'll survive the 200 media format
changes between now and the time I'm a grandparent, but we'll see.

|
Now that's a cool picture (in more than one sense of the word)! I have
it set as my desktop background. Thanks for passing it on to us.
|
|
Very kewl - I'd sell that image to Hallmark. It'd make a great
christmas card.
We could send one to Yo.
|
Hehe, he'd love, of course anything sent to him in the spirit of Christmas
is sure to get a warm response.
