vrod test drive

To the gentleman who test drove a Vrod and got dusted by a 96 S&S, the
one variable in your equation is your ability to ride, you have none.
There is NO way any 96er will beat my 2003 V off line or anywhere else.
I've proven this many times and that's with a 240 rear tire kit.
Red lining a bike is defeating the purpose, you've already lost the
power curve. Before bashing a bike, learn the idiosyncrasies of that
particular engine. 5-8 k/rpm will do fine and 6k in first will get you
well over 60mph. Long live the Rod, V-Bill.
Howdy Bill

I have been enjoying the Vrod for a year now, that along side my old steed,
'98 FXSTS.

The bike is an animal all it's own, the entrenched masses are slow to accept
it, it does not fit every ones desires & taste, the market it was originally
designed for has not developed an interest.

The alternate market, "sportsman/street/track drag racers" have been slow to
adopt, the street versions of the bike are fine, the track only DESTROYER has
extremely limited use.

I test rode a Street-Rod (mid-Position Pegs), I was not comfortable on it,
for me at 6 foot & 33"legs left me very cramped.

I also rode a 2006 TC Springer, more power than what my STOCK Springer had
prior to it's Stage-3 light mod's (10:1), EV-27, Carb Enhancements, SF
Ignition

I sat on a Destroyer (wished I could test it), very comfy dragster, now if I
could find a wealthy uncle to sponsor a race program!

I'll post a few pic's of my visit at ABPMH.
I'm told that there is no waiting list for the VROD.

Ride Safe!
