Help Bleeding Brakes

I am trying to bleed the brakes on my GSX600F. I only just got the bike and
when I got it the brake lever only stopped just before the handlebar.

I have rebuit the master cylinder but still can't get a solid lever.
If you haven't already, make sure the pistons in your calipers aren't
siezed.

Basically the thing seems to suck back with almost as much force as it
pushes forwards. I use a one man kit but couldn't understand why the fluid
disapeared back as fast as it came out so I bought another kit just in case.
I have now found that I can let the fluid out and then pinch the pipe and
have to wait 10-20 seconds before the handle fully returns.

Is this normal? I have done other bikes and have not had this problem or is
It's a bike, issues with spongy brakes are perfectly normal, as are the
cures.

An oft quoted last ditch get the bubbles out involves tying back the
brake lever with a well tensioned tie wrap. Personally, being something
of a genius with not just wimmin but other dumb unthinking machines as
well, I have never had to resort to this but others who have recommend
it highly.

the master cylinder just shot? If it is where can I get another without
breaking the bank I have been quoted close to £150 for an OEM one.

Help I want to ride the thing in what little summer we have.
