OT: Paging Cloggies

I've just had a Trojan warning from AntiVir about this...
A0017017.exe found in System Volume Information.
The only place that I can find any mention of it is...
Try here ...

oader.INService.GEN&threatid=46258

What is the advice given on the forum there?
The advice is referring to the fact that the poster has the virus in a
checkpoint folder. They are discussing whether to restore from an
earlier checkpoint but that there are problems working out which
checkpoint is infected.
If it is in the system volume information turn the system restore off,
reboot and turn it on again, then run a scan. The bad news is your restore
points are lost, the good news is so is your malware.

BTW - it is only really a problem when you restore the infected file,
otherwise it is mostly harmless, and reasonable AV software should remove
it anyway. regardless of location.
