Power Commander on '96 Evo EFI???

Plastic's on the bar.

We're thinking of triking my 1996 FLHTCUI for wifey. That motor has
been dyno'd at 53HP and 80ft-lbs torque. I don't think that's enough
for a trike even for her. She doesn't want the Merch 120 that's in
there now - too much power (and a little tricky to handle).

Soooo, I'm thinking of doing some performance improvements. Power
Commander website says '97='99 Evo but I'm wondering if anyone here has
made it work on a '96??
Worked on my '97.
Thanks, but a '97 is different from a '96 in several important respects one
of which is the EFI EMC.
I'm not sure of your '96, but on my '95, I'd have to upgrade to a newer
EMC thingy.

Cheers, Joe

You must upgrade your '96 bike with a '97 ECU if you want the Power
Commander to work on it.

They upgraded the '97 ECU to allow a reflash, and possibly more. I *think*
they both use the Magnetti-Marrelli EFI but I can't swear to it... <<<

Fact, MM from '94 - '01 on Touring barges. My '96 RK had a '97 ECM on it
when I bought it. PCII worked fine. Migrated the PC to the Y2K Ultrabarge
and it worked fine there as well. On the '05 the PCIII USB is a big step
forward.

Redbeard E. had to do it on his '96 FLHTCI so he could give you more info if
he shows up around here. <<<

He's on the road again, who woulda guessed? He was discussin' doing the same
on his NOS '95 as well. Didn't hear whether it got done or not.

he shows up around here.
