OT: Paging the Angle-Grinder-isti

Being a just popped his cherry AG newbie, aside from the fact that a
grinding disc seems to be twice as thick, what's the difference between a
"grinding disc" and a "cutting disc"?

In other words, what is a grinding disc used for?

I noticed that the cutting disc said, "Not to be used for grinding", and the
grinding disc said, "Not to be used for cutting", so I was curious.
I don't believe I have just read that. I think I need to go for a ride,
I am obviously hallucinating.
Disc for Concrete, disc for Metal ?
I have in my box of discs, cutting /and/ grinding discs for stone,
cutting /and/ grinding discs for metal. So - your point is ... ?
Nah, I've got a stone cutting disc. Diamond coated it is, and very nice too.
This is a metal cutting and grinding disc set I was wondering about.
Cutting disks are much thinner, using them for grinding may break them.
Using grinding disks for cutting is OK but will take longer, 'cos
they're fatter.
