how to straighten aluminum handbrake lever?

Hello all,

I have been told my moto won't pass inspection
because the handbrake lever is bent. It's
hardly noticable - I'm pretty sure this must
have happened a while ago (maybe while parked?).
But, the inspector said it's beyond normal
limits. What is the proper method for fixing
this?
Replace it. They're cheap.
Buy a new one, you imbecile.
Try to bend it back until it snaps off, then buy a new lever.
Alternatively, do nothing and wait until you are maximum braking and the
lever will break off while you are hurtling toward a nice solid object.

Just buy a new lever- genuine levers from the dealership are cheap
compared to the alternatives, and the aftermarket levers are even cheaper
and indistinguishable from genuine factory parts.

TIA,
Ed
