Garmin Mapsource update

For those that bought a Garmin 2610 recently, Mapsource v9 is now available

You'll need the yellow slip that came with the unit to enter the unlock
code to get the upgrade for free.
Excellent. I've been checking every few days for it as it was due
around now. As someone else said, it doesn't show on that page you
linked to but if you go to garmin.co.uk wait for the 'my garmin' bit
to appear at the top left, log in and get it there it works.
Anyone got theirs yet?

Mine was supposedly posted 1st class on 20th Feb but hasn't arrived
yet.
Ahh, "Your Disk should ship after 2/20/2007 via First Class Mail"
I bought my Nuvi 310 last August and just went through the updater,
expecting to pay $75 for it, but I seem to be getting it for free... result
:-)
v9 has been available for "NT" products, like your Nuvo, since 1 Sept 2006.
Anyone registering a unit after this date would get a free upgrade. If you
registered the Nuvo in August then they've obviously backdated the
qualification date for some products.
Yeah, I couldn't see the update on their standard "updates" page on the site
for a few months, but if you go through the "My Garmin" section it throws up
everything. I was all set to pay for the upgrade, but if they're going to
give it to me for nothing, I won't complain!
My 2610 is a few years old now but I have regularly updated it with both
maps and the camera database. I have been checking the site regularly for
Embarrassed to ask as I've had the 2610 for years, but where do you get
the camera database and how do you get it on to the 2610?

I've done it quite happily on an i3 and a TomTom, but didn't think it
could be done on the 2610
How do you do it on an i3? I don't need it as I never exceed the speed limit
but I'd be interested to know how it's done.
Very simply using the Garmin poi loader from the Garmin web site

the non-NT v9 but it still isn't shown. However, following your post Garmin
are to send me an update disc tomorrow. I then tried to log in to purchase
an unlock code just to find out the price (around £70 last year) but it says
that a new version of the maps are not yet available! Is this because the
release date isn't actually until tomorrow?
I got a confirmation email with "click this link to get an unlock code"
*after your DVD arrives*

I made this post as the update for older products like the 2610 has been
delayed until now although the 1/9/06 date still applies.
OIC. Fair enough.
