Bendix brake pads
I was out looking at new pads today, and apparently Cambridge isn't
the best place to buy SBK3s (or anny of Carbon Lorraine's products in
general).
IIRC, it's SB3Ks, and I can't believe I've bothered to post that :(
Well I'll be jiggered - ta.
However, a shop apparently[1] run by racers[2] recommended Bendix
pads, then told me he couldn't sell me any as he didn't have any for
the 10R.
Would they be called Cambridge motorcycles by any chance? Several of
the Team Ixion racers used to use them. Decent bunch of people and
dangerous to be with when one of them wins his first race at Cadwell.
Indeed they were. The "review" of them was by neighbour on the drive,
and they seemed to know what they were talking about. However, an
unknown pad brand from an unknown place doesn't fill me with confidence.
I think I'd trust the dealer from knowing tham and people whose
opinion I also trust saying they are good.
I'll email you.
Bendix is (good quality) OEM fit on a lot of French cages, so not a *total*
unknown - but a 206 ain't exactly a 10R...
Now, as I'd like to give something a fair chance and matey in the shop
extolled their virtures of strong braking performance and weak brake
disc appetite, does anyone with more of a clue have any experience or
shall I just stick with the SBK3s?
[1] according to a bloke who had a bike out on his drive - this was
the most likely candidate for motorcycle knowledge
[2] and bikers - make of that what you will
