OT Keeping her small
"Parents of a severely disabled girl in the US have revealed that they
are keeping her child-sized in order to give her a better life. "
This is an odd one, not as easy as dangerous dogs or parking charges.
So thoughts anyone?
It didn't seem to "stunt" Vince's social life.
(No comebackseys)
Why don't they just stand further away from her every year?
Why don't the authorities take care of her and disallow access to the
parents as they obviously feel that they can't cope.
They are doing it to improve the quality of their lives.
If she were allowed to continue to grow normally, involvement in
activities is perfectly possible, no difference to her, but more
difficult for the carers.
Not the best example of ruling their entire lives for many years, given that
the parents have split up and the kid may be going into foster care.
Umm, yes, that was kinda my point...
The kid's gone into foster care because the sheer stress of it all was too
much for the parents' marriage - and the courts ruled that the care was far
too much for either parent to cope alone.

I can see *why* they did it - but if they were going to mess about with
her in that fashion why not go the whole hog and have her euthenased?
You can charge more and prolly have a larger audience for a live midget.
