OT: Digital compact camera
|
Can somebody suggest an easy to use digital compact camera? It's for
|
Fuji F30, which was my replacement for my F11.
Both brilliant cameras, over 500 shots on a battery charge (in fact I've
never run out of juice, I always run out of room first).
6 megapixels and simple to use.
No idea of price though. F10 is just as good as F11, so it depends on what
offers you can find.

the g/f, so easy to use is fairly essential, loads and loads of pixels
less so.
Good image quality, good macro, super zoom not essential, good battery
life, digital zoom frowned upon. Cheap is nice.
|
Kodak Easyshare range - generally scores pretty highly for ease of use.

|
I'll have a look at work tomorrow to see if there's owt being sold off at
the moment.

Dunno what you want to spend, but I just bought SWMBO a Cannon Ixus 7
and it's rather impressive IMHO.

WHS. Ixi rock
|
Thirded/fourthed - in fact Canons in general have always worked for
me, having had an SLR and a few digital ixuses.

Canon SD1000 Digital Elph. 7.1 Mp, _very_ compact, excellent
LCD screen, 3x optical zoom, digital zoom can be disabled,
battery life seems pretty good. Also has an optical viewfinder.
Dunno what's cheap to you, cost me $208 from B&H in NYC.
