Best fairing repair glue?

Hi, after some very helpful advice and some "interesting" advice, here goes:

Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with any of the plastic
fairing repair kits and/or glues out there? I have a 2" crack on a lower
fairing (hit and run in a car park) which I suspect is going to get worse.
In the past, I've used super glue and reinforced the crack with a
fibreglass patch on the inside, where it (usually) can't be seen, but
I'm sure plastic welding kits will do a better job.
I picked a random 2 part glue from Halfords (Loctite plastic glue I
think) and I've been very impressed. It's a fairing lug that has been
glued and it has a bit of stress on it (which broke the plastic weld
repair), but it's held up ok so far.
I have recently repaired some Fazer bits, fairing, side panels, all to
good effect. I'll get the trade name of the product I used tommorrow
and post it...
Sorry, today was kinda hectic... Have made a note and will post
details tommorrow...
Its called "FORCH. K151> 2K-SPEED." Plus you will need the gun and
nozzles, available from Brown Brothers 01865 337171... HTH...
Cheers for that. Might be getting some of that,,,
A soldering iron and some cable ties.

Do a search for something like "plastic weld soldering iron" and you
should get plenty of hints for how to do it.
