ZZR 1200
|
Having just waved goodbye to my classic Spitfire in exchange for a=20
goodly sum of wonga, my mind turned to "upgrading" [1] the Sprint and a=20

Can't say I noticed TBH. It's not your local bike shop, is it? IIRC=20
you're down on the coast?

casual browse of Haslemere Motorcycles' web site yielded a ZZR 1200=20
(2002 - C1H), silver, circa 2.5k miles for =A34895. Sounds like a lot of=

bike for not too much money. If you've riffen bot the 955i Sprint ST and=20
the ZZR, anyone care to give me their thoughts in terms of comparisons=20
|
I was browsing eBay last night and saw this 2002 ZZR1200 with a buy it now
price of £3,850. Silver, unmarked, FSH, 9,600 miles, colour-matched GIVI
luggage.
I thought blimey, that seems cheap.
Item 200025470516, 3 day auction, in Cornwall.

between the two?
|
I don't how the two compare, but I think the ZZR you've seen is=20
seriously overpriced.
|
On another note, anyone ever tried adding a little Polyfilla to white=20

From a dealer, I guess that's par for the course. What's it worth-ish=20

emulsion to fill in cracks "as you paint" ?
|
I used to sell a similar type of product, some years ago, called Sigma
Cemset.
|
Was it any good?
|
Not really.
What are you trying to cover up with this paint / filla mix?
|
The holes in the Spitfire's sills, probably.
|
|
Just some very small cracks in the room I'm in the middle of decorating,
where the plaster of the wall meets the coving. I'd already used some
filler but it seemed to crack again after I'd sanded it down and
considered whether mising some in the paint might do the trick.
|
You need something more flexible in there.
Some acrylic mastic, AKA Painters Mate might be worth applying to the crack,
and can be painted over once dry.
|
Off to B&Q now (exciting saturday night!), I'll take a look.
|
Top man.
Alternatively, get a man in, you still have Paul's number?
|
You have a good memory - I think I have his number still - but this is a
small decorating job rather than something I need to bring the
professionals in for.
