Don't call me Shortly...

Evening all...

Just been out shopping, tried a leg over a few bikes, nice man at Tippets
wants me to take their Blackbird demo bike (which I can balance on tiptoes)
for a trundle, this year's ZZR14 I cocked my leg over locally seems a touch
too tall, mate's Sprint ST too - anyone else with Jack Russel syndrome out
there who can recommend a *low* seat height, 1000cc or so sports-tourer
(emphasis on sport), preferably not this year-or-three's model so I can
afford it? G/f has just bought a 90's GPZ1100, I can touch ground on that,
but I was looking for something a bit sportier, maybe? I'll probably want to
put h*rd l*gg*ge on, so high-level pipes are going to be a problem.

Any recommendations? - other than high heels, I can't walk in 'em. Well, not
up and down stairs, anyway.
Busa's have a fairly low seat height and should fit your other
citeria. Hard luggage isn't as straight forward as, say, a Blackbird,
but is do-able.
Kawasaki ZZR1100 - I've had three and they are pretty low to the ground,
loved every one of them. Failing that, a Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace -
low seat height, sportier looking than a ZZR and an utterly brilliant
all-rounder. I've had one of those too.

I'm 5 ft 8 with a 28 inch inside leg, so low seat heights are pretty
much essential.
The new Bandit 1200, the one before the water cooled replacement,
designated K6, can be set up so a 5'4" woman can flat foot both sides.
SV1000?
the 650 was known for low seat height, making it a fav for girls, dunno if
the 1000 follows suit as far as seat height.

Can't help much with seat heights, although you could get a custom
seat for the Blackbird if desired.

I had a GPZ1100 for a couple of years and loved it. Olde worlde frame
etc, but went across France many times on it, 2-up at 140-odd.

Have Blackbird now, don't really go any faster when touring, but it
gets there faster.

Also had an RF900 for a courtesy bike, cheap as chips, seemed like a
low seat height, and loved being thrashed.
