Japanese Reliability

3300 miles and it popped off today while traversing a nasty bump on my
daily commute. The rear latch remained rigid, but the plastic on the
bottom side of the case surrounding the latching mechanism gave way. My
first Yami. I know not of how they treat their customers. I hope I
don't have to take them to small claims court to find out.
I think this is the second post I read recently complaining about FJR cases
failing.
Plastic ain't what is used to be.
Saddle, it ain't just the Yamaha's. Japanese bikes are cutting corners
to be competitive and it's showing, is all. We've all heard mostly
good things about the FJR-1300 other than not being much of a sport
bike;)

That'll teach you to buy a barco lounger. I've CRASHED my motorcycle at
50mph and had less parts fall off.
