XS650s?

Any XS650 people out there?
I have a XS-1 (that's the 1970 green one) since new.
I think they were great bikes.
I loved it and would still be riding except I need some parts.
Specifically, the left handle-bar electrical harness (lights etc.) plus some
of the green metal.
Anyone know of a source for good 1970 Yamaha XS-1 650 parts?
I'd very much prefer original as at this point that would keep it nice.
Does anyone have (know of) one that's off the road that they'd be willing to
part with?
I have a spare wife and dog
Geo. S.
I had a '82 XS650 Heritage Special for two years before moving up to a
bigger bike. After 27k miles, (19k in the first year), I can say that
bike was a heck of a lot of fun, but looking back I wouldn't call it
quick. Get it running and ride it!
i had a 72 and it was pretty fast. the are equivalent to the
triumph 650's except for better brakes and poorer handling.
electric starts are nice, too.
i forget the hp ratings, but mine would go over 100 and
cruised at 80 all day.
I owned a '71 XS1B 650 (last of the kick start only models) from 1976 to
1986. I had it completely apart, modified the engine quite a bit and
generally rode the p*ss out of it for ten years. What do you want to know?
not too many here. there are several good groups just
for the 650's.
i have 3 sr500's and a yr1.
and a triumph 650.
