OT: Pub / restaurant in the west

Driving to St Austell for a few days on Wednesday. Thinking that
stopping somewhere around Yeovil or Taunton for a little dinner would be
nice. Suggestions for pubs / cheap home cooked type eateries?
Leave M5 at junc 26 (Wellington) head for Taunton, past 2 garden centres
(on right), look for Worlds End on the right at the crossroads. If you
decide to go to the Blackbird instead ('cos you see it first) let me
know what it's like 'cos I haven't been there.
(5 mins off motorway tops)

Good food served all day, recommended.
Ta

After lunch drive towards Taunton for another 100yards and visit the
Triumph dealer. (Whilst lunch settles)
I'm trying to avoid them.
You could do much worse thanthe Lamb Inn at Tiverton. Spitting distance
from the A303 near Yeovil.
I had some wonderful lamb at the White Hart Corfe, just outside Taunton
once. TBF that was fifteen years ago but it was that memorable though.
Not really what you're after but if you get the chance while you're in
the St.A area, go to Sam's in Fowey.
Ta. Shall give it a try if we have time.
That place wot we went to the day we blew up the mongvan. Monday it
was. Wny am I thinking it was called The Raven? I can recommend the
liver and bacon with mash and gravy.
Weymouth, or Bath?
Snot me birthday till next Empire day.
