1996 Suzuki DR 350

Hi, I've got a 96 DR 350 SE and I'm having a hard time finding
resources online. A friend of mine is a mechanic but I can't find a
good manual or instructions for tune ups, etc. My main problem is that
it's extremely hard to start when cold (not actual COLD, but after it's
been sitting for more than an hour.) Anyone have anything that might
help?
Suzuki published an excellent shop manual for that bike.
I think I paid around $57 for mine.

A less reliable, but much cheaper, source of information and
procedures would be one of the Clymer or Haynes manuals.

Run some carb cleaner through the fuel tank. If it used to start ok,
then something has changed.
Other than normal maintenance (clean & abundant fuel flow, air filter
service, oil changes, and scheduled valve adjustments), restricted
slow (pilot) jet or starter circuit is the first place I'd look for a
problem.
You haven't ignored valve adjustment intervals, have you? Valves out
of adjustment could definitely cause your problem.
What he said^^^^^^^ !!!!!! I spent countless hours troubleshooting
electronics, wiring, etc etc, cleaned my carbs a half dozen times till some
wise person on this NG reminded me to check the valve clearances. My bike
would run like a champ AFTER a horrible prolonged startup process which
involved warming the engine with a space heater.
