First Services

I saw a post here recently from someone who was charged for a first service
on a Suzuki, does anyone here know if Kawasaki charge for a service or are
they still 'free' ?
Mine was 40 quid. I'm guessing that was the price of the parts with
no labour.

I could call the dealer but they are closed and I want to know now.
A few years ago now, but I was a little shocked to get a bill of around
£40 for my Kawa GT750 on its first service when I expected it to be
free.
Apparently the labour was 'free' but they then charged top whack for oil
This has been the practice in the motor trade since the year dot. The trick
is to negotiate the cost into the on the road price of a bike. Just make
sure that it is written onto the order form. You get a discount of £50 on
the bike which costs the dealer £15 or so.

and filter.
Alan.

Oh yes...Does anyone want to rent a garage in N Herts?
My GSXR was subject to a £40 charge on its first service. I tried to get it
free at the tie of purchase but they wouldnt budge.
