Vstrom 1000

Quite fancy one, I've had a TL1000R in the past
and loved the motor.
Sat on one and I can reach the ground ok.
Decent tank range, the Varedero only does 90 odd?
150 to reserve.

Are they any good then?
I know at least one regular here has one...
I like mine.
Don't overlook the DL650. I've ridden both, very briefly and
while the extra poke of the DL1000 motor is nice, the 650 is
a better all around bike, in my opinion. Dunno what it is but
that 650 motor just has such a nice feel to it.
You're a sick man. There's never an excuse to have a *smaller* engine
in a bike.

And for reference, I like mine too. 150+ to reserve, new screen
improves matters, and the screen + new tyres has eliminated the
steering wobble I had. 125mph (GPS speed) top end is a bit weedy though.
I was being polite, I don't think those will suit my needs as I do go
off-road. I've had the trailwings to 118 (GPS) and didn't notice any
trouble.
and cheers from me too as I am just about to replace mine
and was considering Azarros as well....

( Hi Mike !)

I must drop my forks 5mm and see what happens though.

Apparently they have them with ABS now too.
Where's the fun in that?
Hi John,
I have had one for 2.5 years and 25,000 miles and would be pleased to
discuss my
findings with it - currently wanting a change, and thinking of selling it,
but having
difficulty finding anything that suits my needs better.....
Drop me an e-mail to nicstrom at yahoo dot co dot uk and I'll copy some
stuff to you off group
