ot: L-plates for cages
My eldest turned 17 this week and received (quelle surprise) L-plates
for her birthday - self-adhesive jobbies from Halfords. Rear one
detached itself within 24 hours without any 3rd party assistance to my
knowledge.
Plus it's not exactly convenient using self-adhesive as they are
supposed to be covered/removed when the driver isn't the learner.
So.... magnetic ones would seem to be the order of the day - but the car
(a Rover 200 series) has huge plastic bumpers and am not convinced there
..the shame!
I'd call it a self-inflicted wound meself..
is enough uninterrupted metal bodywork at the back to attach one to.
How about a magnetic one on the front and sticking the rear one in a bottom
corner of the rear windscreen, with some tape.
Yeah was wondering about that though not sure it's a good idea to stick
something of that size in the rear window for a learner - might be the
best option though.

can't you get the soft plastic ones that peel on and off the inside of
the windows these days?
Are we still talking about 17 year old girls, here?
I gaffer-taped Anya's to the plastic bumpers of my Civic. It removes
without residue and paint damage if you take them off after each
lesson.

Was there meant to be a question mark anywhere in that post, or are you
Rope in disguise?
A gif of 17 YO daughter would be nice too.
Actually that was very well spotted. Not meant to be the meanderings of
an under-used mind at all, no sir.
