Green Lane -bike suggestions
|
ok winter is fast approaching
and I have an inkling for having a go at this green lane lark
Would prefer to have the bike road legal, so after a days running in the
mud, I can just drop onto the A3
and trundle home (via jetwash)
Can the FOAK suggest a bike suitable for a 6 foot, 16 stone stature?

You appear to be looking for the mythical "cheap dirt bike". You'll
be lucky if you find anything worth riding for less then 1k

Oi. SteveH, you haven't mentioned that bike recently. Has it fallen to bits
yet? Waiting for an unobtanium spare part? Done 6000 miles on it or have
you just stuck it in the garage to keep the VFR company?

Royal Enfield Bullet Trails, you should be able to get one for about
£800.... ahh sorry just spotted the "worth riding" bit, as you were.

That said, I know of a KLR250 going in Guildford for around about that
sort of cash. Not the world's greatest off road bike by a fairly long
way but it'd probably be alright as a green laner.

Kawasaki KLR250 in blue/white. 11045 Miles.
'G' registration. Imported from the US, manufactured in 92-93. (The
US version is identical to UK version except the headlamp is on all the
time).
Good condition and very good runner.
Brand new MoT, new chain & sprockets, battery, fork seals and full
Kawasaki workshop manual included.
All engine and frame numbers match the registration document.
Everything works. Starts first kick every time.
He's asking UKP700.
