CB500SW

I'll be taking a look at a 2000 Honda CB500SW shortly. I haven't heard
of an "SW" but presume it varied from the base model in some way. Can
anyone enlighten me?
The suffix letter indicates year of manufacture. The preceding year's
model would be a SV, the following SX. The S denotes a faired bike, I
believe.
An SW would make it a 1998 model with a fairing, non-faired models
didn't have the S in there. The CB500S part denotes the model of bike,
the last letter denotes the year model on Hondas and Suzukis and they
ran along the same format until 2000. There will be a white sticker on
the frame under the seat with the model and year letter printed on it
e.g. CBR600FX, meaning it's a 1999 CBR600F.

You can work back from these:

96 - T
97 - V
98 - W
99 - X
2000 - Y

TIA
Tarby
Mystery solved... first half-faired sport version, apparently.
