OT: Oh, it feels lovely...

As soon as I touched it I knew it was for me. Just sits snugly and so
purposeful, full of latent power and solidity, every bit designed for
use with no fumbling.
It's not new, of course, people have been using them for years, but this
is the first time I've actually played with one.

Yes I believe it was, I saved for ages to be able to afford one, I
still have it plus a 70-200mm lens up in the loft. Quite sad to look on
ebay and see them being sold for washers.

Nikon D40 back in January and it's great, and as I was typing this the
postman delivered my new Sigma f2.8 150mm macro lens.

How do you achieve that then?
And surely it negates the 'auto-everything' which is the main benefit of
modern cameras?

Any flash with an hotshoe will work, but again you will be limited to a
certian range of shutter speeds, and no auto-exposure.
I've just been looking for a dedictated flash for mine, still £150+ on
ebay, so it'll have to wait for a while still.

Shame that spec-wise it's out performed by a 400D.
