OT: Definitve MOT query

Well, not a definiteve query, but I'm looking for a definitive answer from
the MOTisti here [1]

Airbag warning light is on: Fail or no?
No.

ABS light, yes. Airbag warning, no.
I just got a Honda MOT'd with an ABS warning light on in March, and a
note on the MOT saying ABS disconnected (they just yanked the fuse, but
the ABS warning light stays on). Works fine for me without ABS, until
I can fix it myself. Faulty rear sensor I expect.

The bigger drawback is the general warning light which also comes on,
so I can't see when something more serious may be happening.
I'm fairly sure they shouldn't have passed it with an ABS light showing;
Mr Hewitt can confirm or deny this.

Pulling the fuse so the light is *off* is fine; they don't test the ABS
as part of the MOT, but I'm fairly sure if one's showing it's a fail.

Andy? Is that right?
You qulify as knowing what you're talking about, ta :)

That's not a statement I thought I would ever read on here!
I'm easily pleased

[1] And I know the rest of you will be blurring the issue ;)
Definite no.
And you definitely know, my thanks.
No worries, I suspect they'll appear one day though.
As long as it's not this or next month, I don't care :)
Why keep a dog and bark yourself :)
