Some oddities

Timely post, for those whingers who like to bang on about "rip off
Britain"
By March 1998 a mere ZX6R cost £8100, shortly after July 1999, the
paralelle import market caused the price of a new 6R to drop to £5200.

The prices back then *were* a rip-off.
I was saving for a Firestorm through the early part of 1998, when they=20
were =A38250 OTR. In July 1998 I paid =A36000 for mine when Honda had=20
dropped the price to =A36400 OTR.

No wonder everything seems so cheap nowadays. :)
You and I might be a fair bit better off than then, too.
Wonder if the Yen/Pound exchange was significantly different then or if
it's just market pricing.
