Yellow bikes attract flies?

A bloke at work told me this yesterday & thinking about it, the blade
used to get loads of flies round it after i washed it, never noticed on
any other bike.
Better get some flyspray then.
Anyone else confirm or deny the fly thing, sounds bollocks, but it
could be true, not that it matters.

Completely true. Wearing a fluoro-yellow HG Voyager jacket prolly doesn't
help either.

Thunderflies
particular are attracted to yellow - as my mate found out when he had a
yellow car, and parked in an area infested with them. His car got covered,
while hardly any of the others parked around him had more than a few on
them.
