FOAK: built-in oven
About to move into a house with a Diplomat Select 920. No instructions.
Anyone got one and prepared to scan in the instruction book? tia. Derek
Diplomats are an MFI brand, so they 'might' be able to help.
Most ovens are pretty simple to operate other than the timer, but who uses
them.
I have a Diplomat oven but I don't know the model no.
I can scan the doc tonight - it may be that all the controls are
similar across the range anyway.

Emailed Thursday eve. to both you and Timo. Hope it is of some help.

*waves*
Mind emailing it out to more than one person? I've also got one of
them and can't work out how to work the timers apart from the alarm.

Blimey! That's you over -----> there, then!
Tum-ti-tum-ti-tum-ti-tum.... ;^)

"Built-in oven"
And there was me thinking that that that was going to be a post about the
latest fashion accessory for Honda Goldwings....
People actually read instruction manuals for things like ovens?
That's bizarre, I find even things like the timers are just intuitive,
and work first time, or at worst take a few seconds to work out... same
with videos and other consumer electronics.
So UKRM, is it odd, to just "get it", with such things?
Wanna play with my Smeg, biker boy?
I've always worked things intuitively, with thirty something years of
doing so, but this big lump of metal has me beaten.
OK, with the traditional mix of mild psychology and extreme violence, I
can get the clock set, but there's no way I would trust myself to set
the timer to cook my dinner while I'm not there!
Depends on the context - in real life - no. On UKRM - yes.
I would like to reassure that this is not the reason you are odd.
I should hope not. I can do *far* better than that.
Try here;
and while you're there ask a few questions about bikes because I am sure
they'll know all about them too.
